TRANSFORMING YOUR LIFE
Friday AUGUST 25 - SUNDAY AUGUST 27, 2023
Join us for our annual retreat in the Colorado mountains. This will be our third year at Sanctuary of the Inner Compass, just one hour south of Denver in Sedalia, near Castle Rock. Let’s connect for a weekend of community, ceremony, nature and self-restoration. We will integrate Forrest yoga, sound healing, sauna, cold plunge, healthy food, hiking and adventures in nature; all on beautifully curated property with land art and experiential outdoor recreation. Alongside Keri Bergeron and Nicole Landrus, who will support with hands-on assists, Cheryl will guide us through A Retreat in Nature to reconnect us with each other, our bodies, spirits and the beauty that surrounds us.
The theme for 2023 is Transformation. We will explore how to connect with our internal guidance system so we can create the lives we want, and live in the most meaningful and soul aligned ways. We will deep dive into how we can release and transform energy, so we can make room for clarity and new growth in our lives.

Sanctuary of the Inner Compass
676 Pine Creek Rd, Sedalia, CO 80135
Located in Sedalia, Colorado just west of Castle Rock and only an hour from Denver, Sanctuary of the Inner Compass is an ideal spot for a yoga retreat and getaway to immerse yourself in nature. In addition to the yoga workshops, enjoy a sauna and cold plunge, an immersive art park, and various nature walks & hikes.
“The art park is an integrated trail network and zones that emerge from a central area. Inspired by the work of nature-based therapists, the trails will take participants on a journey propelled by human archetypes, symbology, curiosity, traditional practices, rites of passage, heart, and exploration of self.” - Everland.co

Cheryl Deer, ERYT 500, Forrest Yoga Guardian, has taught yoga since 1996. Cheryl’s classes and workshops are joyful and motivating, designed to leave you awakened and inspired. Expect to receive gentle yet powerful adjustments, connect to your core and engage in your practice in a way that brings greater presence, healing and transformation.

She has logged countless hours of study with master yoga teachers such as Christina Sell, Darren Rhodes, Ana Forrest and Andrei Ram, and has over 14 years of teaching experience, Keri’s depth of knowledge and experience strives to serve others on their journey to health. Keri brings awareness to patterns both mentally and physically to enable healing and transformation within her clients and students.
Nicole Landrus , Yoga Assistant
Nicole has been teaching Forrest Yoga (FY) for over 11 years. Her yoga journey began when she stumbled out of a restaurant into a yoga studio in Denver. She fell in love with the FY style because it gifted her the sensation of feeling into her body in a way she never knew was possible. This gave her the tools and space to begin her yoga journey and heal from trauma and addiction. She took FY Foundation Teacher Training in Santa Monica in 2011 and continued with FY Advanced Teacher Training in 2013. Other trainings include Street Yoga Teacher Training (for high risk youth and families), Radiant Beginnings (kids yoga), Hatha Yoga, and ongoing continuing education with Cheryl Deer.
